How many staff are present?
We operate with a 5:1 ratio (participants to staff) and a registered nurse is only a phone call away for any medical questions.
Who can the center accommodate?
Adults ages 55+ looking for socialization and FUN!
Individuals with mobility difficulty (require walkers, wheelchairs, and/or need assistance getting up and sitting down).
Post-surgical adults who may need some additional support during the day but have already completed their inpatient short-term rehabilitation goals.
Adults with cognitive decline, forgetfulness, poor judgement.
Adults with special care needs such as foley catheters, ostomies, etc.
Adults who struggle to independently complete activities of daily living such as:
-Walking/getting up/sitting down
-Preparing food and/or eating
-Personal hygiene (including incontinence care)
Who might not be a good fit for ActiveAge?
Anyone with SEVERE cognitive impairments or significant physical disabilities may not be well suited for our environment. We are not currently staffed or equipped to safely care for individuals with advanced dementia or those who are fully wheelchair bound and cannot stand at all (ie. requiring a lift for transfers)
Is there a required number of attended days to remain an active member?
Nope! We do, however, recommend AT LEAST 3 days per week to promote a healthy routine and optimize the benefits provided by adult day services.
